कराग्रे वसते लक्ष्मीः करमध्ये सरस्वती। करमूले तु गोविन्दः प्रभाते करदर्शनम्॥

Transliteration

Karagre Vasate Lakshmih Karamadhye Saraswati, Karamoole Tu Govindah Prabhaate Karadarshanam.

Meaning

Lakshmi resides at the fingertips, Saraswati at the centre of the palm, and Govind at its base. That is why, on waking, we look at our own hands first — a quiet respect for honest work.

समुद्रवसने देवि पर्वतस्तनमण्डले। विष्णुपत्नि नमस्तुभ्यं पादस्पर्शं क्षमस्व मे॥

Transliteration

Samudra-Vasane Devi Parvata-Stana-Mandale, Vishnupatni Namastubhyam Paada-Sparsham Kshamasva Me.

Meaning

O Goddess, whose garment is the ocean and whose bosom is the mountains, wife of Vishnu — I bow to you, Mother Earth. Forgive me for touching you with my feet.
