How to read the result
- The inauspicious periods (Rahu Kaal, Yamaganda, Gulika Kaal) are traditionally avoided for starting something new.
- Abhijit Muhurat is the auspicious window of the day. Choghadiya tags sixteen day and night slots as Good, Neutral or Bad.
- All of these come from the sunrise and sunset of the city you pick, not from anyone’s chart.
How is a muhurat fixed?
Every day carries both auspicious and inauspicious windows. Rahu Kaal, Yamaganda, and Gulika Kaal are traditionally avoided for new beginnings, since planetary influence during these windows is considered unfavourable.
Abhijit Muhurat, by contrast, is a stable and auspicious window of the day, roughly half an hour long most days, and is considered suitable for nearly any auspicious task.
Choghadiya splits day and night into eight segments each, rating every segment good, bad, or neutral, so even small tasks can be timed quickly.
