What are Mulank and Bhagyank?
Mulank (psychic number) comes from the day of your birth date and reflects your nature. Bhagyank (destiny number) comes from the full date of birth and reflects your life path. Naam Ank is computed from the letters of your name using the Chaldean system, the method used in Indian numerology.
Common misreadings of numerology
A common misreading expects numerology to agree with astrology. The two are unrelated systems: numerology derives numbers from digits in a birth date or letters in a name, while astrology reads planetary positions in the sky. Getting a 'confident' numerology number alongside a 'cautious' rashi reading isn't a contradiction to resolve, they're answering from entirely different methods.
A second misreading assumes numerology is one universal system. This calculator uses Chaldean numerology, the tradition Indian numerology is built on, which assigns different number values to letters than Pythagorean numerology (the more common Western system found in many online calculators). The same name can produce a different Naam Ank in each system; neither is a miscalculation of the other.
A third misreading treats a Mulank or Bhagyank as a fixed personality label. These are descriptive numbers pointing to general tendencies, not a verdict on who you are or what will happen; they're one input among the many traditional tools this site offers, not a standalone forecast.

FAQ
Questions about numerology
Why are Mulank and Bhagyank different numbers? +
Mulank is derived only from the day of birth, while Bhagyank sums the digits of the full birth date (day, month, and year). That is why the same person usually has two different numbers.
Does changing how a name is spelled change the Naam Ank? +
Yes. Naam Ank sums a Chaldean numeric value assigned to each letter of the name, so even a small spelling change can shift the total.
Does numerology predict the future? +
No. This information is descriptive: it points to general traits, favourable colours, and days, but it does not make firm predictions or dictate life decisions.
