Cookies Policy
Last updated: 23 August 2026
This page explains how Nakshara uses cookies and browser storage, and how our server-side page-view logging works. For the full picture of what data we process, read this together with the Privacy Policy.
What is a cookie
- • A cookie is a small text file a website saves in your browser. localStorage and sessionStorage store similar information on your device.
What we use today
- • We set no analytics or advertising cookies on nakshara.app itself.
- • The kundli-matching form uses localStorage on your own device to remember your in-progress order, so you do not have to start over on a page reload. It is not transmitted to us.
- • During checkout, our payment processors — Razorpay (razorpay.com) and Stripe (stripe.com) — may set their own cookies on their own domains as part of processing your payment and preventing fraud. Those cookies are governed by their respective policies: see razorpay.com/privacy and stripe.com/cookie-settings.
Server-side page-view logging (no cookies)
- • On every page load, your browser sends a small beacon request to our own funnel API. The request carries the path you visited and the referring URL. Our server records the source IP address it saw, so we can count visitors, spot outages, and block abuse without a third-party analytics product.
- • The same page load also sends the path, referrer and your browser’s user-agent string to Aktai Ltd’s internal page-view counter at api.aktai.app. That counter does not set cookies and does not build a persistent visitor profile; it feeds an aggregate dashboard shared with Aktai’s other properties. This is a transfer between systems of the same controller, not to a third-party analytics vendor.
- • This activity does not use cookies, so a consent banner is not currently required under the UK PECR / EU ePrivacy rules. It is nonetheless described here in full so you can see exactly what is happening.
How you can control this
- • You can clear cookies and site data for nakshara.app any time from your browser settings (Settings → Privacy → Site data).
- • To suppress the server-side page-view beacons described above, use a network blocker such as uBlock Origin or your browser’s built-in tracking protection, or block requests to api.nakshara.app/api/track/pageview and api.aktai.app/page-views/track. Blocking these will not affect the reports you paid for.
- • See our Cookie Settings page for a summary.
Changes to this policy
- • If we add analytics or advertising cookies in future, we will add a consent banner and update this page first. Aktai Ltd may amend this notice at any time at its sole discretion. Amendments take effect when posted; the date above always reflects the current version. Your continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the amended notice. Where an amendment materially affects rights over data we already hold about you, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users on the contact channel they used to reach us.
